Squiggle Say Wiggle!

You know how in the cartoons all the cute but furious rotund bees or wasps have round bottoms and pointy stingy tales and do the wiggle dance?
Well that’s the image I have in my head, lots of comic buzz buzz blogger bee’s all doing the  wiggle dance and aiming their stingers ready to fire at those who would try to steal from or attack them – now in the cartoons its usually the honey someone is trying to steal, or its flowers they are trying to pick which the bees are sitting on, or if its wasps its usually the wasps nest someone is trying to remove! see where I am going with this one and why it seems to fit so well??
Yep well the honey equates to the word (your word is like honey to my lips!) and in this instance the words equate to the freedom of speech and the right to comment!
The flowers, well that’s our individual blogs and websites that some people try to pick on or pick off – use whichever one fits for you, though both might be apt!
The wasp nest, well that’s the blogosphere of course – the hive community in which we all reside, humming along and working away, and yes again someone is trying to knock it down and dismantle it – well bits of it.
Of course we are the bee’s and the wasps, normally quite content just to get on with our blogging, but yes we have stings in our tails and when we are riled up we fire, we show our hive mentality and work together as the collective to protect the habitat and each other.
And today – well today the wiggle dance (the loosely termed Walker Wiggle Dance in honour of the blogger bee first SLAPPed) moved on a step and the first stinger was fired straight and true (yes we had all been doing our collective thing and following the leaders advice – thanks Matt!) but today the wiggle dance turned into a haka with Elizaphanian leading the dance.

Dave Walker and others pursued & harrassed…

You know there is nothing I like less than being a hypocrite or someone who is an out and out hypocrite,

So when I found this today:

http://web.archive.org/web/20021014223915/brewer2000.com/journal.html
a quote from Mark Brewers own site from 2000:
‘But still, almost nothing in “the news.” Thank goodness that we have this one, last bastion of free speech– the Internet. The internet, in particular, is the only truly free “press” we still have.’
Lovely irony there for you! given this is the person who is trying to close down free speech – Dave Walkers and at least a few other bloggers and their sites as well!
‘ There are many ways to get involved in the fight for freedom. …

This one relates to this ongoing action: http://andjesuswept.blogspot.com/2008/07/more-spck-bullying.html and the response reported from some of the bloggers as to the replies they got! as reported here, https://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=24844304&postID=386709787575471942&isPopup=true

Especially as the email address being used is not a personal one but is actually his work one, and freely posted by him at various and many places, such as his business website, his St Stephen website and on yellowpages and superpages.com.

there really are some other excellent quotes and pictures from these pages:

I also like this one from the Brewer&Pritchard site:
‘Like other business people, lawyers exist in a competitive world. They must be willing to withstand the scrutiny of those whom they serve and those whom they seek to serve.’ http://www.bplaw.com/

I felt I had no recourse but to share this given much of what is being done by the person whose websites and press releases these statements came from!
I guess if the definition fits!
This from the person who sends Cease and Desist Orders when they don’t want news of their actions being reported on.
I humbly suggest a reading full reading of Matthew 23:13ff
But for those not handy with the bible here are a few quotes to give you a flavour!

“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you shut the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither enter yourselves, nor allow those who would enter to go in.” (Matthew 23:13 RSV).

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you tithe mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the Law, justice and mercy and faith; these you ought to have done, without neglecting the others. You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel!” (Matthew 23:23-24)

Silence is not always golden…

‘Whilst men are linked together, they easily and speedily communicate the alarm of any evil design. They are enabled to fathom it with common counsel, and to oppose it with united strength. Whereas, when they lie dispersed, without concert, order, or discipline, communication is uncertain, counsel difficult, and resistance impracticable. Where men are not acquainted with each other’s principles, nor experienced in each other’s talents, nor at all practised in their mutual habitudes and dispositions by joint efforts in business; no personal confidence, no friendship, no common interest, subsisting among them; it is evidently impossible that they can act a public part with uniformity, perseverance, or efficacy. In a connection, the most inconsiderable man, by adding to the weight of the whole, has his value, and his use; out of it, the greatest talents are wholly unserviceable to the public. No man, who is not inflamed by vain-glory into enthusiasm, can flatter himself that his single, unsupported, desultory, unsystematic endeavours, are of power to defeat the subtle designs and united cabals of ambitious citizens. When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.’

Tired!

So ok I am tired and should be in bed, but my brain won’t turn off so here I am squiggling a blog. This blog is the thoughts, mutterings and murmerings of the collective that is the wholebeing of squiggle jones. The conglomeration of thoughts and actions that causes squiggle to be.

Will it make sense – not always. This is just the meanderings of the stram of conciousness and transcendent ideas that make up the squiggle. Hopefully what it will be like eventually is the sparkly, reflective, constantly changing river that runs through the header of this blog (by the way, I the Squiggle took that picture at one of the most beautiful, calming and relaxing places I like to get away to for long weekends!).

So there we go, thats the start.

Hello world!

Squiggle Jones here!

my motto is – ‘Sometimes its in the details and sometimes its in the blurs… other times its just a squiggle!’

Just in case some of you are not sure what a Squiggle actaully is (other than a strange edition to the species know as human),

Just so you know all of the definitions are appropriate to Squiggle Jones!
